Monday, September 16
This morning after a hearty breakfast (daily), our local guide joins us and we visit KREIDER FARMS in Manheim. Observe the inside workings of a dairy farm where the cows are really pampered! This is a first hand view of modern agriculture. After our 90 minute tour we continue to HERSHEY and discover the history behind Milton Hershey’s impact on this community.
Next we’ll visit Miller’s Quilt Shop with hundreds of handmade quilts, quillows, wall hangings and exquisite gift items from Amish, Mennonite, and other local artisans. We’ll have lunch on our own next door at Miller’s Smorgasbord.
In the afternoon we travel to HERSHEY and discover the history behind Milton Hershey’s impact on this community. Next we’ll visit CHOCOLATE WORLD, containing one of the largest stores of its kind in the world selling Hershey’s products including new items not widely released.
We return to our hotel and have time to relax. This evening we dine at the Good & Plenty, sure to please even the heartiest of appetites! (B,D)

Tuesday, September 17
This morning we’ll tour the Amish countryside, the “Roads Less Traveled”. See the picturesque scenery as we meander across country roads where time seems to stand still. Included will be one-room schoolhouses, wind wheels, Amish “phone booths” and farmers working the fields with their horse or mule drawn plows.
Then we drive to INTERCOURSE and explore KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE. This is a shopping village with 32 distinctive shops. Products range from candles to pottery, to art works, to jams and relishes, and much more!
We’ll have lunch on our own here before we drive to Strasbourg, and what is sure to be the highlight of our tour, admission is included at the Sight and Sound Theater to see the matinee performance of the spectacular production of “JESUS”. After the show, feast on a lavish buffet at the Hershey Farms Restauant, located next to the theater. Also a wonderful gift store to explore afterwards! (B, D).
