Day One

Welcome to New England
From the coastline to the majestic mountains, this tour is one to be enjoyed by all! Arrive into the Boston area for a two night stay. A Tour Trends Tour Director meets the group with a festive welcome reception. (Dinner)

Day Two
Boston, Lexington & Concord
Begin the day with a tour of Boston also known fondly as “Bean Town”. This city, renowned for it’s cultural, educational and medical institutes is unrivaled. Along the Freedom Trail see the Old North Church, the Old State House, Boston Common, the USS Constitution and many more famous sites. Enjoy free time and lunch on own at Quincy Market. This afternoon, follow the Revolutionary path through Lexington and Concord where the “shot heard round the world” was fired. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day Three
Southern Coast of Maine
Continuing northward, pass briefly through New Hampshire and over the Piscataqua River into Maine. Maine’s coastline glistens with it’s jagged rocks, lobster boats and lighthouses. Travel “down east” to York, for a picture stop at Cape Neddick Light. Also fondly known to all as “the Nubble”, this lighthouse is one of the most photographed in Maine. Continue to the charming village of Ogunquit named “beautiful place by the sea” by the Abenaki Indians. Enjoy a cruise in Perkin’s Cove on a Lobster Boat and learn how these delectable creatures are caught. Then it’s on to Kennebunkport with a tour by Walkers Point, home of former President George Bush. Overnight in the Southern Maine area tonight. (Breakfast & Lobster Dinner)

Day Four
White Mountains of New Hampshire
This morning journey through the Maine woods with views of evergreens and white pines surrounding sparkling lakes en route to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Travel the Kancamagus Highway, one of the most famous scenic byways in North America, for spectacular mountain views. Arrive at Cannon Mountain for an Aerial Tram ride to the top. The mountain vistas abound with color. A final picture stop is made at the impressive Mount Washington Hotel set at the base of the majestic Presidential Range. The next two nights will be spent in the White mountains. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day Five
Lakes Region of New Hampshire
From the Mountains to the Lakes, this day will be spent exploring yet another beautiful area of this state! First, take a cruise on Squam Lake, site of the movie “On Golden Pond”.This afternoon, visit the Castle in The Clouds, set high above the lake located in the Ossippee Mountains. Tour the Mansion’s Castle Springs water bottling plant. Return to the hotel this evening. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day Six
Green Mountains of Northern Vermont
This morning continue into the Green Mountains of Vermont. Arrive in Randolph for a visit to the Porter Music Box Museum. Journey back in time, seeing and hearing the exquisite collection of beautiful large disc style music boxes. Continue to Montpelier; Vermont’s State Capitol, for a visit to the Morse Farm. Experience the history of maple sugaring and farm life and sample some sugar on snow. Continue northward this afternoon through Waterbury for a visit to the world famous Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory for a sampling of the flavor of the day! Spend two nights in northern Vermont. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day Seven
Shelburne Museum & Central Vermont
Breathe the crisp clean mountain air this morning before venturing off to spend the morning at Shelburne Museum. Explore the range of exhibits housed in 37 buildings, on 45 landscaped acres. Stroll through historic houses, a restored Light house, schoolhouse, general store and view extensive folk art, trade arti-facts, and fine art from Monet, Manet, Degas and Cassatt. This afternoon, visit the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory to see how these cuddly creatures are created. A final stop is made today at Dakin Farm – Vermont’s tastiest attraction! (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day Eight
Western Massachusetts
This morning, travel through southern Vermont with a stop in Manchester. Enjoy time browsing through the many outlet and specialty shops. This afternoon, continue into the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts in time for a Berkshire Cottage Tour. Explore this region known as the “Inland Newport, RI” where we’ll find mansions, otherwise known as “cottages”, built during the gilded age by Carnegie, Proctor of Proctor and Gamble, Westinghouse and the Vanderbilt’s who formed the American Aristocracy. Overnight in Western Massachusetts tonight. (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day Nine
Depart for home
Bid farewell with many fond memories of an unforgettable journey through New England. (Breakfast)
